Lasagne Come Out Tomorrow
Lasagne Come Out Tomorrow is the brainchild of Sylvia Abruzzo, a Gen-X Chicagoan with deep cultural ties to Italy. She fondly remembers her childhood spent in the kitchen with Nona, watching her arthritic hands kneading fresh golden pasta dough, frying up massive batches of chicken parmigiana, and making enough red sauce to feed an army (and then some.) Sylvia and her children fondly reminisce about the experience – the smells of traditional Italian-American dishes simmering on the stove, the sounds of family asking each other to pass heaping dishes of food across a long table, and of course, the tastes of Nona’s delicious meals.
Now that her children are grown with their own families, Sylvia has made it her mission to recreate this experience, to bring people together around the table and, of course, Nona’s best recipes. To spread Nona’s love to even more people, she created a best-selling cookbook of Nona’s classics alongside some new favorites, titled “From Nona’s Kitchen To Yours.”
